Smartphone Apps
A great way to enjoy meditation, music and more…
We’re excited about smartphone applications and what they allow us to do that we can’t do with an album or the podcast. Apps allow us to offer meditations of varying lengths, with or without music or nature sounds, as well as the ability to adjust the music and voice volumes independently (on Apple and Android apps).
Two of our apps contain our website programs — At Ease and the Online Meditation Course. Our At Ease – Anxiety & Worry Relief App, includes a journaling process that works hand in hand with special breathing meditations for anxiety. Our Learn to Meditate – Meditation without Borders app is an entire course for learning to meditate. Enjoy an uplifting, transformative experience with our Luminescence Visual Meditation app, and learn to breathe naturally and regularly with our Breathe & Relax app. If you want to enjoy music alone, our Attunement App offers 7 selections of music for varying moods and purposes, and you can create a playlist of up to two hours of playing time. Our latest app, iSleep Easy is especially designed for falling asleep and sleeping deeply. With a variety of meditations and choices of music and nature sounds, you can create your own custom sleep program. You can read about our apps at the iTunes store or your Android, Windows or Blackberry phone store. You can also read brief descriptions on our website using the links below.

What about android phones?
We’re working on androids, nick! Stay in touch, or follow us on Twitter or Facebook where we’ll announce when they’re available.
I’m looking forward to the android release. Your work here is so well done that having in that form will be a wonderful resource. You’re really made a difference in my life.
So glad, Mark, that we’ve made a difference for you. That means everything to us.
We’re getting closer to the android release. We don’t know yet if we can do everything with an android that we can with the iPhone in terms of how the apps operate and look, but hopefully we’ll have android versions soon.
Mery,
thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us. I truly wish you all the best in your projects and lots of success. Thank you.
You are welcome, Igor, and thank YOU for your kind wishes.
Are you developing a BlackBerry application?
Hi Sarah, We don’t have any plans to develop a BlackBerry app. It’s expensive and complicated, and unfortunately BlackBerry users are a relatively small group. Perhaps this will change in the future…
UPDATE 2/28/2011 — We just released a Simply Being Blackberry App!
I don’t think you realize just how big of a group of BlackBerry users there are.
Thanks for the correction, Natalie. You’re right.
There are several complications that are keeping us from developing for Blackberry now. The most important is that, except for our podcast app, which was developed by Wizzard Media, we create our own apps. As we are not professional developers, this is an extremely time-consuming process! Perhaps if we found a Blackberry app developer who was willing to develop for us on a profit-sharing basis, we could move into the Blackberry market soon. We certainly have the content and graphics, but learning to do it for Blackberry would be a Herculean task at present. The way it looks right now. we’ll probably continue to create Apple apps, and then hopefully move to other platforms somewhere down the road.
Thanks for opening this discussion. We do get requests for Blackberry apps and perhaps we’ll find a way to do it sooner rather than later. We’re open to ideas!
UPDATE 2/28/2011 — We just released a Simply Being Blackberry App!
What about us Blackberry users? Any updates? Enjoy your site… Would love an App!!!
Hi Cindi, we are actually working on our first Blackberry app. Don’t know how long it will take, but it will be coming…
UPDATE 2/28/2011 — We just released a Simply Being Blackberry App!
There really are a lot of us blackberry users!!!! I am bummin- wish I could get an app too
We’re working on one now! Blackberry is a challenging platform for developing apps, but we hope to have it done soon.

Accidentally I removed the app and cannot restore it or buy it again. Can you please help? Can you mail me the app again please?
dann, we’re sorry but we can’t email you the app. You should be able to re-download it, however, for free. Check with the support for your device to get instructions for re-downloading.
[...] Meditation Oasis has great apps for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android, Windows and Blackberry. With their apps, you can choose if you want to listen to the guided meditation with or without music and you can pick the duration of the meditation, so you can even do it during lunch time at work. That makes me look forward to my break *wink wink* [...]
Love the updates to the android version of simply being, however it used to play out of my speaker for my speaker phone but now it only plays out of my ear piece. I wish it still played out of my speaker phone.
Brandi, we’re checking on this to see if it has to do with the app. We’ll get back to you with an answer soon. Thanks for letting us know.
Hello! I just downloaded your walking meditation app–great idea! However, I noticed on my app list, it’s listed as ‘Splash’. Just letting you know!
Relynn, thanks for telling us! We just fixed it.
[...] guided meditations, podcasts, and apps for android and iphone [...]
Love this application! It has truly made a huge difference in my life. Thankyou so much
Glad to hear that, Tara. You are very welcome.
[...] Meditation Oasis: meditation podcasts [...]
Hi, sadly I don’t seem to be able to download your podcasts as I am not in the US. I cannot even buy them from Amazon …….can you suggest anything?
Vicki, you should be able to download our podcast from anywhere. Our apps have to be purchased from iTunes or the Android Market or Blackberry App World depending on which device you are using, but the podcast is free with over 40 guided meditations. If you are talking about the Meditation Oasis podcast app by Wizzard Media, that is available from Amazon. Let us know if you have more questions.
